Note:Below appears the analytical curriculum of the diploma "Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Principles (7290-13)" as well as the analytical curriculum of the diploma Master Technicians Advance Qualification - "Advanced Vehicle Diagnostics and Management Principles (4122 -14)". General information per level and specific information per unit.
1. Understanding of routine maintenance and cleaning of the automotive environment and using resources economically
2. Understanding of health and safety legislation and duties of everyone in the motor vehicle environment. It will provide an appreci8ation of significant risks in the automotive environment and how to identify and deal with them. Once completed the learner will be able to identify hazards and evaluate and reduce risk.
1. Develop skills required to carry out day to day work area cleaning, clearing away, dealing with spillages and disposal of waste, used materials and debris.

Develop skills required for the use of computers, technical catalogues, technical information sources and internet. Being familiarized to English technical terms which are applied to systems, components, functions and diagnostic procedures in modern cars.

4. Unit - 172 - Knowledge of Light Vehicle Fuel, Ignition, Air and Exhaust System Units & Components
Develop an understanding of the construction and operation of common fuel, ignition, air and exhaust systems. It also covers the procedures involved in the removal and replacement of system components and the evaluation of their performance.
Demonstrate the removal and replacement of light vehicle engine system components. It also covers the evaluation of performance of the replaced units and systems.
Develop an understanding of conducting routine maintenance, adjustment and replacement activities as part of the periodic servicing of light vehicles.

Demonstrate they can diagnose and rectify light vehicle braking steering and suspension systems faults. It also covers the evaluation of performance of the replaced or repaired units and systems. This includes SI, CI, Hybrid and Alternative fuel vehicles.
1. Knowledge of safe procedures for the maintenance and repair of internal combustion engines, and identification of basic components and systems.
2. Application of diagnostic tests to assess engine performance and fuel consumption. Evaluation of results using specialized tests and procedures.

S.o.A.E. Assured Diploma in Master Technicians Advance Vehicle Diagnostics and Technologies. (A14S-01)
Course Aim:
The aim of this course is to provide learners with the advanced theoretical knowledge and hands-on expertise required to become highly skilled technicians in the field of automotive diagnostics. Learners will gain a deep understanding of complex diagnostic systems and cutting-edge technologies in modern vehicles, including internal combustion, hybrid, and fully electric powertrains. This course is designed to enable technicians to proficiently diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair intricate vehicle systems, integrate advanced diagnostic tools and software, and apply sophisticated fault isolation strategies to resolve issues in both conventional and next-generation vehicle technologies.
Course Duration:
The duration of the Assured Diploma is:
- Total Hours: 495 Hours – Theoretical and practical learning hours.
- Duration: 18 months (Full Time)
The technical seminar will cover the basic theory of the operation of the electronically controlled automatic transmission ZF / BMW E-60 series and the dismantling process of essential parts. Moreover, the usual wear and damage of the automatic transmission ZF / BMW E-60 series, will be discussed.
The gear engagement method and operation of Valve Body will be studied and explained. Basic diagnostic approach, assembly and evaluation procedure of the proper operation and condition.
